Do you accept reservations? 

Reservations are accepted via OpenTable 30 days in advance. Please note reservations will not be accepted via voicemail, email, or social media.

MOST OF OUR SEATING IS HIGH-TOP AND COUNTER SEATING* If you have a request, please call the restaurant. 

Please INCLUDE your children in your reservation party size. Highchairs and strollers require space and specific tables. We need advanced notice to accommodate. Please note we may not be able to accommodate multiple large strollers.

Patio reservations may not be honored in the event of inclement weather. We will do our best to move your reservation indoors if there is space and time.

Bar seating is first come, first serve.

What do I do if I am running late?

Please call 617-982-6330. We hold reservations for 15 minutes. If you are tardy it may limit your time dining with us if we have other parties behind you.

I have a patio reservation. What do I do if it is raining?

Patio reservations may not be honored in the event of inclement weather. Please call if you would like to move your reservation to an indoor table and we will do our best to accommodate based on availability. Indoor reservations will be honored regardless of the weather.

Do you accept large parties?

We cannot seat incomplete reservations larger than 6 guests. If you are joining us with a party larger than 6 your whole group must be present to be seated.

Black Lamb has limited availability for large parties. We accept reservations through OpenTable for up to eight guests. Party sizes consisting of nine or ten people we ask you please call the restaurant to make the reservation. Please fill out an event inquiry form for parties of 11 or more. Our events team will follow up within 24 hours Monday through Friday.

We require a credit card to hold the reservation for parties of five or more.

If you’re looking for a larger gathering space the restaurant in its entirety is also available to reserve with seating for up to 45 guests along with space for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. 

Our Raw Bar is also available for a standing reception of up to 16 guests.

Do you have an Oyster Happy Hour?

We offer $2 buck a shuck oysters Monday all day and Tuesday-Friday from 11am-5pm. Oysters change daily and are selected by the chef. Please note, liquor laws do not permit any discounting of alcoholic beverages.

Can I bring my own cake/dessert?

Please notify the restaurant in advance if you are planning to bring a cake. We charge $3 per person for a cake plating fee.

Can I bring my own wine?

Liquor laws do not permit the consumption of beverages brought from off premise.

Do you have valet or parking?

VALET SERVICE

We cannot currently offer valet services.

PUBLIC PARKING 

There is metered parking along Tremont Street. There are also visitor spots throughout the neighborhood. Be mindful of residet parking signs. The city does ticket. Be mindful of street cleaning. The city does tow.

PARKING GARAGE 

There is a parking garage at the Atelier building on Tremont Street beside the Calderwood Theatre. The garage address is 16 Warren Avenue. Pricing and directions are located HERE

What is your cancellation policy? 

We require a credit card for parties of five or more. Please cancel within 24 hours of the reservation, otherwise you may be charged $25 per person. No-show reservations will be charged $25 per person. Black Lamb will issue a gift card for the fee and must be picked up in person at Black Lamb within 2 weeks of the reservation. Can you accommodate food allergies?

Black Lamb is happy to accommodate food allergies. Please note them in your reservation or call the restaurant at 617-982-6330.

Do you have time limitations?

We do not have strict limitations, but please keep in mind, 1-2 guests are expected to dine with us for 1.5 hours, 3-4 guests for 2 hours, 5-6 guests for up to 2.5 hours, and 7 or more for 3 hours. Please note these durations begin at the time of your reservation.

Do you allow dogs?

We applied for a dog permit to allow dogs but until we are approved by the city, only service animals are permitted. If you are dining with a service animal, you must answer these questions:

1. Is the animal a service animal required because of a disability?

2. What task or service is the animal trained to perform?

If an animal is not acting like a service dog (excessive barking , jumping on other guests, ect.) we can ask that person to remove the animal. Animals are not permitted to eat food from the restaurant or brought from outside and must remain on the ground (not on laps, tables, chairs, or bar tops).
